# Delete your Fillout account

> Delete your organization, and erase all forms including responses, your collaborators' forms, and unsubscribe from emails.

## Notice

Please note that deleting your Fillout account **cannot be undone**. Account deletion will remove your entire [organization](/organizations), which includes [workspaces](/workspaces), forms, respondent submissions, collaborators' forms and unsubscribe you from email notifications.

  Only [admins](https://www.fillout.com/help/granular-permissions#view-existing-permissions) on the Free Forms & Apps plans can delete organizations. If you're on a paid plan, you'll need to [downgrade](https://www.fillout.com/help/billing-and-payments#upgrade-or-downgrade-your-plan) first.

## How to delete your account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Delete all forms, apps, and databases">
    Before proceeding with account deletion, you need to remove all forms, apps, and databases. This includes emptying the `Trash`, located on the bottom left of your dashboard, so everything is fully cleared.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to account settings">
    Click your `Account name `on the upper left corner followed by  [Settings](https://build.fillout.com/home/settings/general) in the dropdown.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delete organization">
    Scroll to the bottom and click `Delete organization`.

      If you think you may need anything later, we recommend [exporting](https://www.fillout.com/help/importing-and-exporting-forms#export-a-form) it before deleting your organization.

    Type **DELETE ORGANIZATION** in the popup window to confirm.
