# Make a quiz with Fillout
> Make personalized quizzes to engage your audience or generate leads. Choose from dozens of field types, calculate scores, and automate follow-up.
## Overview
With Fillout, you can easily create and customize your own **free quiz** that lets you:
* Automatically score submissions
* Show answers after each question or list them at the end
* Sends a notification whenever someone completes your quiz
## Try a demo quiz
Give the demo quiz below a try to get an idea of the types of quizzes you can make with Fillout. This is just one example - the Fillout quiz builder is highly customizable.
## How to create a quiz in Fillout
First, [sign up](https://build.fillout.com/signup) for a free Fillout account, then [create a new form](/make-a-form) or open an existing one. Click on the upper right area.
Click `Quiz mode` in the left-hand panel to toggle the `Quiz mode enabled` switch.
Drag and drop the quiz questions you'd like to use from the left-hand panel to your form. Select from dozens of different types.
Assign score values to each question. Fillout automatically tallies the scores for you. Click a question followed by .
Put a **✓** beside the correct answer. You can choose multiple correct answers, if applicable, and even define a score value for each answer (see [weighted scores](https://www.fillout.com/help/make-a-free-quiz#advanced-quiz-features) below).
**Adding custom feedback**
You can also display a custom message to respondents based on their answers. To do so, enable `Custom answer feedback` and toggle the `Show correct answers after each page` option in your form settings (step 1).
Now, the fun part! Customize the look and feel of your quiz with Fillout’s [Form designer](/themes). Simply, click `Theme`. For more options, scroll down and open the `Advanced Designer`.
Once your quiz is complete, click `Publish` on the upper right corner and share the link or embed it anywhere.
You can also enable [email notifications](/email-notifications) for whenever someone fills out your quiz. The respondent’s score will be included in the email.
Fillout provides real-time reporting and analytics on your quiz [results](/results). You can view individual responses or analyze trends and patterns in the `Results` page of your quiz.
## Advanced quiz features
**Use weighted scoring**
Typically, you’ll assign a score of 1 for correct answers and 0 for incorrect ones, but you can also add weighted scores to give certain questions or answer choices more impact. Simply enter the desired score for each answer choice to apply weighted scoring.
**Display the respondent's current score**
You can show the respondent's score at any point during the quiz. To reference, simply type **@** anywhere and click followed by `Score`.
**Show custom ending messages or pages**
Display different ending messages depending on a respondent's score by using [hide/show logic](/conditional-hiding). To display different ending pages, set up [page logic](page-logic).
**Show a summary of answers on the ending page**
Display a list of correct answers alongside the respondent’s answers. Reference their answers by typing **@** and selecting the relevant question.
You can also use [logic](https://www.fillout.com/help/conditional-hiding#hide-a-question-based-on-a-condition) to show only the answers the respondent got wrong. Drag your mouse across the relevant fields. On the right-hand pane, `Set conditional logic`.
In this example, we'll just show this info if their answer `does not equal` the correct answer.
