Admins can turn off AI features for everyone in the organization from Settings → Security. This is useful if your AI use needs to clear an internal review before your team can start using it.
This feature is available on the Enterprise plan. Contact us to enable it for your organization.

Turn off AI

Open security settings

Click your Account name in the upper left corner, then Settings, then Security. Scroll to the AI features section at the bottom of the page.

Toggle Disable all AI features

A confirmation dialog lists exactly what your organization will lose.

Confirm

Click Turn off AI. The change applies to everyone in your organization right away.
An organization admin can turn AI back on at any time from the same switch.

What gets turned off

  • The Fillout form builder’s AI assistant
  • AI steps in Fillout form workflows
  • AI fields and AI formulas in databases
  • Generating themes and brand kits with AI
  • Mapping form fields to documents with AI
  • Transcribing audio answers to form questions
These controls stay visible in the product, but appear greyed out with a tooltip explaining that AI is turned off for your organization.

What keeps working

AI you’ve already set up keeps running. Existing AI fields, AI steps in live workflows, and anything else already configured continues to work as before. Turning off AI only prevents new AI use going forward, so nothing your team already built will break. Building apps with Zite is not disabled, since Zite apps require AI to be built. To control who can build apps, use creation permissions.

Turning the switch on or off is recorded in your audit logs as a critical org.aiFeaturesDisabled event, with the admin who made the change and the timestamp.
